Materials for fittings

The right brass for what flows through it.

Fitting performance starts with the alloy, matched to the fluid or gas it carries, the working pressure and the compliance the application demands. See full quality & traceability →

How they're made

Manufacturing process.

01

Bar & forging stock

Certified brass bar or hot-stamped forgings selected for the fitting's pressure and thread requirements.

02

CNC turning & machining

Bodies machined on CNC and Swiss lathes; ports, seats and hex profiles formed to drawing.

03

Thread forming

NPT, BSP, BSPT, metric, UNF, JIC and SAE threads cut or rolled and gauge-verified.

04

Finishing & test

Plating or polishing as specified, then leak/pressure testing and final inspection before packing.

Fittings FAQ

Questions, answered.

Which thread standards do you cut on fittings?

ISO Metric, UNC, UNF, BA, BSW, BSP and NPT, plus fully custom threads to your drawing or sample. Threads are gauge-verified before dispatch.

Can you match a fitting from a physical sample?

Yes. Send the sample and we will reverse-engineer the dimensions, thread and finish, confirm the brass grade, and quote it to match.

What thread standards do you make brass fittings in?

We manufacture brass fittings in all common thread standards, NPT, NPTF, BSP, BSPT, metric, UNF/UNC, JIC 37° and SAE 45° flare. Custom and special threads are produced to your drawing or sample. Not sure which standard your application needs? See our guide to NPT vs BSP fitting threads.

Do you offer lead-free brass fittings for potable water?

Yes. We supply low-lead and eco-brass fittings that meet drinking-water lead limits, and dezincification-resistant (DZR) brass for aggressive or chlorinated water. Compliance documentation is provided on request.

Can you match an existing brass fitting from a sample?

Yes. Send a sample or drawing and we'll reverse-engineer the fitting to match dimensions, thread and finish, then confirm the brass grade and quote it.

Do you pressure-test and leak-test brass fittings?

Yes. Fittings can be pressure- and leak-tested to your specification, with thread-gauge and dimensional inspection reports supplied with the shipment.

What is your minimum order quantity for brass fittings?

We handle everything from prototype runs to high-volume production. Minimums depend on the part and thread tooling required, send your requirement and we'll advise the most cost-effective quantity.
