Types we supply

Hardware that gets specified, not substituted.

Architectural work is judged on finish as much as on fit, so the plating and polish are held to the same discipline as the geometry.

Building Hardware FAQ

Questions, answered.

What finishes can you supply on building hardware?

Natural and polished brass, electro tin, nickel, chrome, silver, gold and zinc blue, plus brushed and satin finishes and PVD coating. Finish matching from a physical sample is available.

Do you supply hardware for residential and commercial projects?

Both, along with industrial construction. Hardware is machined to your drawing, so a specified piece can be produced rather than substituted with the nearest catalogue item.

What finishes can you supply on architectural hardware?

Polished brass, brushed and satin, chrome, nickel and black nickel plating, and PVD coating. Send a physical sample if you need an existing finish matched, since finish names vary between suppliers.

Do you make glass standoffs and balustrade fittings?

Yes. Glass standoffs, handrail fittings and balustrade components are machined in brass and stainless steel to your drawing, including the load-bearing versions.

Should exterior hardware be brass or stainless?

Stainless 316 for coastal and marine exposure, stainless 304 for general exterior use, and brass where appearance matters more than exposure. Tell us the location and we will say which we would specify.

Can you match a discontinued piece of hardware?

Yes. Send the physical sample. We will reverse-engineer the dimensions, confirm the material and finish, and quote it to match.

What is the minimum order for building hardware?

Architectural work often runs in small quantities and we handle it. Minimums depend on the part and any tooling required, so send the drawing and we will advise the most economical quantity.
